Every copywriter, be it in Singapore or overseas, dreams the same innocent dreams. To attend the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity some day, shoot a film with Keanu Reeves somewhere in the South of France, feature on the Forbes cover...You get the drift.
But all we secretly (realistically) wish for is to see our work see the light of the day. I got lucky to witness the ad I wrote for Zeiss SMILE Pro, in person, at arguably, the most iconic street in Singapore. Yep, you guessed it right. THE ORCHARD ROAD.
One of the more awesome perks of starting your own copywriting agency is that you're not a faceless, nameless innie (hello Severance fans!) copywriter any more. And so, when the good folks at Zeiss told me that they liked the copy so much that they decided to cough up more-than-a modest amount to pay for the outdoor ads at Orchard, I was over the moon.
